Material Planning Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>The Role<\/b><br \/>\nCosmic Semiconductors is looking for a hands-on <b>Purchasing &amp; Material Planning Manager<\/b> to structure and develop the Purchasing function.<br \/>\nThe role combines two complementary areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Procurement, sourcing and supplier management.<\/li>\n<li>Material planning, MRP and inventory management.<\/li>\n<li>Purchasing team leadership and development.<\/li>\n<li>Support to Production, Lean transformation and ERP\/MES implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Purchasing Operations and Team Management<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, organise and develop a team of buyers with different experience levels.<\/li>\n<li>Standardise purchasing processes, responsibilities and escalation rules.<\/li>\n<li>Work directly with the ERP, purchase orders, shortages and supplier commitments.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce operational KPIs and continuous improvement practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>BOM and Material Planning<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement an early BOM review process to identify supply risks.<\/li>\n<li>Manage shortages, long lead-time, obsolete and single-source components.<\/li>\n<li>Review MRP parameters, safety stocks, reorder points and purchasing lead times.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce kanban, min\/max and automatic replenishment where appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Supplier Management<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Source, qualify and develop national and international suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate prices, lead times, MOQ, payment terms and framework agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce supplier segmentation, scorecards and performance reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Rationalise the supplier base while protecting supply continuity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Lean, ERP and International Development<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support Lean initiatives related to material flow and line replenishment.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Purchasing in the implementation of the new ERP and MES.<\/li>\n<li>Improve supplier and material master data, workflows, reports and alerts.<\/li>\n<li>Progressively coordinate purchasing activities across international subsidiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Candidate Profile<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 5-7 years of experience in Purchasing, Material Planning or Supply Chain within a manufacturing company.<\/li>\n<li>Direct experience with ERP\/MRP systems, complex BOMs, inventory and shortage management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading or developing buyers, planners or supply-chain professionals.<\/li>\n<li>Good English and ability to work with suppliers and international teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preferred Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electronics, semiconductors, automation, mechatronics, EMS or industrial equipment.<\/li>\n<li>High-mix\/low-volume, make-to-order or engineer-to-order manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Electronic component sourcing, including authorised distributors, obsolescence and supply risk.<\/li>\n<li>Lean Manufacturing, kanban, ERP\/MES projects or relevant professional certifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Personal Qualities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong hands-on and operational approach.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to combine strategic thinking with attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Pragmatic leadership and strong people-development skills.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical, structured and results-oriented mindset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Key Objectives<\/b><br \/>\nDuring the first 12 months, the successful candidate will be expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Standardise Purchasing processes and develop the team.<\/li>\n<li>Improve BOM coverage and reduce shortages and emergency purchases.<\/li>\n<li>Implement structured inventory and supplier-management policies.<\/li>\n<li>Support the company\u2019s Lean transformation and ERP\/MES programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What We Offer<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A key role in the transformation of the Purchasing and Supply Chain organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Direct exposure to senior management and strategic company projects.<\/li>\n<li>An international and technically advanced working environment.<\/li>\n<li>Compensation and professional-development opportunities aligned with experience.<\/li>\n<li>a gross annual salary within the range of 40-50k \u20ac<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work location: Altopascio (LU)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-69673","job-position","type-job-position","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/cosmic-group.com\/it\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-position\/69673","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/cosmic-group.com\/it\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-position"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/cosmic-group.com\/it\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job-position"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/cosmic-group.com\/it\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=69673"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
